Traditional fire grate design featuring a modern use of materials - using steel to construct the fire basket. Styled with floral detailing that would suit both Rococo or later Art Nouveau interiors and fire surround, this is an elegant piece.

Fire Basket Ornamentation & Finish

The fret rails, feet, finials and front piece are all finished in polish brasss and steel and the flanks, grate bed and back plate all being finished in traditional matt black.

The flanks and back plate are made of heavy cast iron plate - this gives the fire rigidity and helps radiate heat forwards into the room being heated.

The grate bed is raised in the traditional manner allowing one to clear ash and detritus from under the fire using a shovel, brush or pan.

Also available with gas coal effect or log or driftwood effect gas fire. Also offered with a moulded coal effect electric 2kW fan heater.
