Dimplex is bringing a new look to its Opti-myst range with the Albany fire, a stylish inset design which will suit both modern and classic interiors. The frameless ‘hole in the wall’ design gives a sleek, uncluttered feel, and can be used either fully inset or in a surround to complement a minimalist modern decor, or add a contemporary twist to a more traditional room. Silent in operation, the Opti-myst® effect uses a patented water atomising system to create lifelike flickering flames and swirling smoke, while a fully concealed 1.5kW fan heater gives a top-up heat when required. The flame effect is fully three-dimensional and is visible over a wide viewing angle to create a true focal point. The flame effect is fully variable to easily create different moods and can be used independently of the heating function, ideal to create a cosy feel without overheating. For user convenience, the fire comes with a remote control for armchair selection of flames and warmth. The concealed 1.3 litre easy-refill water tank, extended-life dichroic Xenon lamps and Optiglow Log bed with LEDs inside the logs mean the fire is virtually maintenance-free. As the Albany is electric it simply plugs in, and can be easily installed in any suitable location with a power supply. Like all Dimplex electric fires, the Albany is BEAB approved, an extra independent guarantee of rigorous safety testing and ongoing monitoring.
